Continuing the age-old tradition, Yale will be hosting Science Saturdays this semester! This first event will be Saturday, October 2nd (this coming Saturday), and we need volunteers!
Science Saturdays is a special lecture series designed for kids and their families that brings the excitement of research and the passion of scientists to school-age children in New Haven. Yale professors present their research on an accessible, fun, and interactive level, and undergrads help out with setting up the event and leading some simple science demonstrations. Its a lot of fun - you can bring your friends (whether or not they are science majors), hang out with some extremely curious and intelligent kids, play with fuzzy stuffed animal microbes, magnets, hydrophobic sand, and more! Its very low pressure, lots of fun, and there is free food involved!
