Please join us for a day of dance, learning, and reverence in honor of the Baga Dmba, a powerful sculpture that embodies the female spirit in Guinean culture. At the Rose Center, learn Dmba dance with instructor Aly Tatchol Camara and view a screening of Dmba dance footage from Baga villages in Guinea. Then see the Dmba firsthand with curator Frederick John Lamp during a tour of African art on display at the Yale University Art Gallery. All ages are welcome. Free and open to the public; registration is required.
